This goes out to the guys who claim Gerrard “dived” or misled the referee: There’s no way he’d fall down without any interference and I believe that there must’ve been some contact with the nearest Atletico player for Stevie to lose his balance. It’s NOT a blatant dive as many people {who obviously would be supporting teams rivalling Liverpool FC} have be calling for. Liverpool will do its best in all the remaining Premiership, Champions League, FA Cup & League Cup matches, and will do good enough to win it, God Willing :0)

Gerrard (probably) intends to draw a foul there. It’s no where near a dive where a player fall down w/o contact. You can’t deny that there WAS a solid contact btw those two. Striker draw foul for free kick by baiting defender all the time. The goal was not to develop play but get the foul, still it’s not cheating. In this case, SG really milk it, and I feel bad for that defender, seem like he didn’t even see SG coming. Still, SG got the ball first and contact was made. SG wanted to be foul and he was fouled.

Whether it’s technically cheating or not, I don’t know how you can feel any pride after getting a result that way. Gerrard has been the best (British) player in the premiership for years, but I find it a bit sad that he would be that cynical.
