The USWNT Olympic Squad proved that they are no push-over and they showed it by being relaxed and covering a lot of space on the playing field and knowing exactly what to do. The Brazilians are a fine side too but their being overly cautious caused them the extra time goal against them.
In fact, the Brazil Women were up against a well-organized and prepared side, the USWNT (Olympic Team). This was not the team Samba Queens defeated in the Women’s World Cup in 2007, oh no. This is an Olympic revamped side with a stronger Team spirit and a more open approach to soccer; permitting a lot of free roles to perform and besides giving credit to all the die hard Real Soccer (Queens) Girls good fighting spirit, we don’t want to forget Coach Pia and Staff who did very good job introducing proper and relevant ball-possession and teamwork.
Finally, we say thank you all for an excellent job done against Brazil and a very well done job in the Olympics Women Soccer Tournament. Kudos and don’t let pride get the better of you but get prepared to stay on top as Female Soccer Champions when you
face Ireland’s Women.
